During my junior year at the University of Tennessee, I decided to enroll in their Interactive Furniture Design course. Although I was the only graphic design major in our class (the course was primarily for architects and interior designers) I wanted to explore this field in an effort to improve my understanding of interactivity, develop my creativity with materials, and improve my skills in prototyping and fabrication. Below is a collection of several quick 3-dimensional sketches created for various excerises in our class, followed by the presentations I gave for 4 of our main projects.
